Stress-Aware Leadership Programme

Stress in the workplace is increasing and has a direct impact on teams and performance. Over the past five years, the number of stress-related absence cases has risen by 43%, and one in four days of sick leave is now stress-related. Leaders play a key role, but many find this a complex responsibility. The Stress-Aware Leadership Programme helps strengthen their insight, skills and confidence to recognise stress at an early stage and provide effective support.

Our approach

This programme is not a quick fix. Stress is complex, and we respect that complexity. That means investing time and attention in the programme. Without that investment, the impact will remain limited. We work with leaders who are ready to invest in a structural improvement of their knowledge and skills, rather than continuing to tackle symptoms as they arise.

  • New and surprising insights into stress and supporting people through stress, based on current and robust scientific evidence.
  • A focus on supporting stress and developing a positive, constructive mindset towards stress, rather than trying to manage or eliminate it.
  • Practical application at three levels: yourself, individual employees and your team.
  • Immediate practical application within your own team and with individual team members.
  • A focus on balancing the stress that work can cause with the energy that both work and stress can provide.
  • Greater insight and new skills to help you understand your own beliefs about stress and the stress of others.
  • A combination of workshops, small-group skills training and individual coaching by a psychologist.

What does it deliver?

Our ultimate goal is for you to be able to say at the end of the programme: “I truly feel better equipped to support employees and teams in dealing with stress.”

Together, we work on:

  • Recognising signs of stress at an early stage.
  • Having open and effective conversations about stress.
  • Gaining greater control over stressors and energy resources.
  • Building resilient teams and promoting sustainable employability.
  • Creating a safe working environment where stress can be discussed openly.
