The significance of menopause

10 April 2025
This week is Menopause Week. Menopause is a difficult time for many women. As many as 8 out of 10 women experience symptoms of menopause, and research shows that nearly three-quarters of these women find that the symptoms affect their work.

Symptoms such as hot flashes, menstrual irregularities, poor sleep quality and mood swings have a significant impact on work and well-being. However, this issue is often not given enough attention, including in the workplace.

Supporting employees

Talking about menopause is still seen as a taboo in many organisations. This is despite the fact that offering understanding and support can actually help women cope with their symptoms. That needs to change.

At HumanCapitalCare, our aim is to help employers and their employees (continue to) make menopause a topic of discussion.

Services

That is why we have developed services related to the symptoms of menopause to help employers and employees manage the complexities of menopause and work. We will be sharing more about this topic on our website and LinkedIn page before the summer.
